About this file

This is a Notice of Intent to award a single-source contract issued by NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Philadelphia for repair services related to H-1 aircraft components. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Safran Data Systems Inc. (CAGE 1UAE7) under FAR 6.302-1 authority using FAR Part 15 procedures for the repair of various National Item Identification Numbers (NIINs) listed in an attached appendix. NAVSUP plans to issue a 5-year Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) to support ongoing H-1 aircraft maintenance. The required services include evaluation, repair, and/or modification of specified items, with the contractor responsible for furnishing labor, materials, and facilities. The Government does not possess the necessary technical data to perform these repairs internally, which is cited as justification for the single-source procurement.

All responsible sources may submit capability statements in response to this notice within 15 days of publication, though this notice is not a competitive solicitation. The Government reserves the right to determine whether to compete the contract based on received responses. Source Approval is required for new contractors; unapproved sources must submit source approval documentation with their proposals using the NAVSUP-WSS Source Approval Information Brochure for Repair. Award will not be delayed pending source approval. Interested parties should contact the Point of Contact, Timika Nicholson, at Timika.D.Nicholson.CIV@us.navy.mil for additional information regarding source approval requirements.
