About this file

This document provides technical specifications for electrical work involving a Heidelberg printing equipment installation. The project requires running two electrical lines from a Square D 480V panel through a concrete block wall, with installation of two disconnects - one for a dryer unit and another for a press. The electrical routing will traverse a 14-foot high ceiling, with conduit running from a panel box, through a wall, and then turning 90 degrees to connect the new disconnects to the respective equipment. Supplementary documentation includes photographs of the dryer unit's top, press power box, and internal cabinet hookup locations to assist the contractor in understanding the precise installation requirements.

Additional details of the existing equipment and area:

Square D is the brand of panel.

The ceiling is 14’ high where the panel and machine are located.

Currently, there is not a disconnect for the Heidelberg. The dryer unit and the press will need a disconnect. Two lines need to be run from the 480 panel. One to the dryer unit disconnect (needed). Then from the disconnect to the dryer unit. One from the panel to the press disconnect (needed) then from the disconnect to the press. Pictures are all included. Both conduit lines need to be run, and will go through one concrete block wall.

There is conduit running out of the top of the panel to a box. The contractor will have to go from that box, through the wall, down the ceiling. 90 degree turn to the left to disconnects that need to be installed. Then from the new disconnects to the dryer unit and press. There needs to be two wires ran, with two disconnects.

There are pictures of the top of the dryer unit and the press power box. I also opened the cabinets and took a picture inside where they hook up.
