About this file

This document is a Surplus Material Evaluation Form that provides detailed instructions and requirements for submitting information related to surplus material being offered as part of a federal contract opportunity. It outlines the required information to be provided for each surplus item, including item identification details, surplus information, warranty information, and condition of the surplus material. The form defines four categories of surplus condition - new and unused, new and reconditioned, new and modified, and used and overhauled - and requires the offeror to specify which category applies. The offeror must also provide details on the source and history of the surplus material.

The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation (FA8121-24-R-0015) for a one-time spares buy of Turbine Ducts with NSN 2840-01-504-2791NZ. Proposals are due by April 19, 2024 at 2:00 pm CST. The duct is a nickel alloy component with specific dimensions that holds the outer air seal in place on the High-pressure Turbine Rotor Assembly. First article requirements and qualification requirements are specified, and the Government is not required to delay award to review pending Source Approval Requests.
