2.2. Scope of Services
A. Objectives
The search firm should include, in the development of the proposal, comprehensive information to demonstrate acceptance of responsibility for and a viable plan to achieve the following objectives:
1. Develop and conduct a thoughtful, timely process for gathering Board, educator, staff, parent, family and community input in order to craft a common vision for the leadership needs of our district.
2.Translate these needs into a comprehensive set of qualitative and quantitative criteria and profile for the desired Superintendent.
3. Use the superintendent profile to inform the development of the advertisement for the position.
4. Conduct a thorough search and ultimately produce a pool of highly qualified, fully vetted, diverse and creative candidates who meet the criteria established.
5. This search will include, but is not limited to the following key tasks:
• Prepare and distribute materials as necessary to advertise the position;
• Nationally advertise and recruit qualified candidates;
• Screen all applications;

• Present the complete list of candidates in accordance with the appropriate criteria to the BBOE for consideration based on the selection criteria.
• Coordinate and facilitate the Board’s interview process.
• If the BBOE does not decide upon a candidate after consideration of the first round of finalists, continue the search process, until the BBOE makes a final selection, at no additional cost.
