About this file

This is a pricing table for the City of Fort Myers' Invitation to Bid (ITB) for repainting aluminum streetlight poles. The City is seeking qualified contractors to provide comprehensive repainting services for aluminum streetlight poles ranging from 10 to 15 feet in length, with an estimated annual quantity of approximately 100 poles. Services must be performed at the supplier's location and include surface preparation, rust removal, graffiti removal, color changes, traffic control, and mobilization/demobilization. The pricing table itemizes these work categories by unit (per pole or per day/project) to allow bidders to submit detailed cost proposals. Electronic submissions are required through the OpenGov portal by January 15, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. A non-mandatory pre-submittal meeting is scheduled for December 23, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at City Hall Finance West Conference Room. City Council approval is proposed for January 20, 2026. Submissions will remain binding for 180 days following the opening date, and the contract term extends for five years based on the warranty requirements specified in the technical specifications.

Contractors must possess current Florida business licensing, demonstrate three consecutive years in business under the current company name, and maintain no arrears or defaults with the City. Technical requirements mandate surface preparation meeting SSPC-SP10/NACE No. 2 standards followed by five-stage non-chromate pretreatment and marine-grade powder coating with a minimum 4.0-6.0 mil dry film thickness and a five-year warranty. All labor, materials, equipment, and supervision are the contractor's responsibility. Insurance requirements include general liability of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence, workers' compensation, and commercial automobile liability with a $1,000,000 combined single limit. The City reserves the right to award to one or multiple responsive and responsible contractors based on lowest overall cost. Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) participation is encouraged for certified minority-owned businesses with a principal place of business in Lee County. The contract must comply with Davis-Bacon wage standards, Equal Employment Opportunity standards, and Build America, Buy America provisions. Funding sources include general City funds and potential State Revolving Fund (SRF) Program assistance from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
