Each topic is developed with fidelity to the ETR Design for Learning. Specifically, in accordance with ETR Design for Learning, we will:
• Understand and communicate learning targets (outcomes) and their connection to needs
• The bulleted list above ensures sufficient time is allotted given the learning level desired
• An often overlooked, yet essential element is pre-assessment to gather baseline data from which to measure a scholar’s growth and focus delivery in areas of greatest need
• Essential too are pre-work and homework to provide scholars with a more level knowledge base from which to begin the facilitated learning and to support post-delivery sustainability and continuous improvements respectively
• Learner assessment of relevance/content validity is the element of providing learners the information necessary to answer their “why” in attaining and utilizing the new learning
• Participant centered learning environment is both an intentional and purposeful design element regarding in-person, virtual learning and ongoing 1:1 and or small group consultation.
• Adult learners arrive with a life experience that must be valued in new learning using many and varied interactive activities
• Lastly, risk in applying new learning is best supported by a safe place to fail while attempting then accessing post-training learning and or consultation – initial implementation is the most critical of all Active Implementation phases – Exploration, Installation, Initial Implementation, Implementation, Sustainability/Continuous Improvement.
