About this file

This document outlines the Stocking Plan for FY 2024 and FY 2025 under the ongoing contract for the procurement of live channel catfish and bluegill for the Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW). The contract involves stocking various ponds and parks located in Washoe County, Carson City, and Reno City. The plan specifies the annual amount (in pounds) of channel catfish averaging 1.5 lbs and the number of "catchable" bluegill 5 inches or larger to be stocked across the different locations, with deliveries scheduled from August to July. The document also provides details on the required fish specifications, mortality rates, and delivery protocols to be followed by the awarded vendor to avoid the transport of prohibited aquatic species.

The contract does not include any delivery charges unless specified in the bid response, and the final delivery schedule will be agreed upon between NDOW and the awarded vendor. This is an ongoing contract, and the document does not provide information on the pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements, or other salient contract details.

Stocking Plan – OTC 72DOW-S224 NOA Extension 2

ITEM SPECIFICATIONS

Channel catfish to average 1.5 lb. Bluegill are to be “catchable” size, or 5 inches and greater.

All channel catfish and bluegill are to be delivered alive and in good condition. Mortality in excess of 2.5% by numbers must be made up in the next delivery with replacement fish.

NDOW will provide specific protocols and treatments to the awarded vendor which must be used for any delivered fish shipments to avoid the transport of prohibited aquatic species. (PLEASE NOTE; ALL FISH MUST COME FROM QUAGGA FREE WATER). Failure to adhere to these protocols and treatments will be grounds for contract cancellation.

The inclusion of fish of species other than “channel catfish and bluegill” may be grounds for refusing delivery of any load of fish.

Additional fish may be requested in any load, at the contract price depending on availability and vendor hauling capacity, with ten-day notice.

Pond Locations may include, but not necessarily be limited to:

· Sunset Park Pond, Sunset Road and Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, NV;

· Lorenzi Park Pond, W. Washington Blvd. And Twin Lakes Drive, Las Vegas, NV;

· Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs, Off North Durango Road, Las Vegas, NV;

· Boulder City Pond, Veteran’s Memorial Park, Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City, NV; and
