About this file

This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 190000001361 issued by the State of Michigan for the Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC), specifically for the Central Michigan Correctional Facility. The RFP solicits bids for replacing hot and cold wells, requiring four new Delfield Model No. SH5NU hot food counters with five-well steam heated configurations and four Delfield Model No. SCSC74B refrigerated cold serving carts. The project requires delivery within 60 calendar days of order receipt, with installation at 320 N. Hubbard St. Louis, MI 48880. The bidder must provide materials, installation, training/demonstrations, and potentially include preventative maintenance information.

The pricing terms are firm for the entire contract duration, with payment processed via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Unique requirements include comprehensive security procedures for contractor personnel, including background checks, LEIN clearance, and adherence to facility security protocols. Additional specifications mandate environmental considerations, such as preferences for mercury-free and brominated flame retardant-free products. The contract also requires compliance with the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) standards, with potential contract termination for non-compliance. Acceptance of the equipment is contingent upon successful installation, testing, and meeting all specified requirements, with provisions for replacement or correction if standards are not met within 30 calendar days.
