This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the procurement, installation, and support of washer/decontamination units for the 88th Medical Group's Sterile Processing Department at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

The contractor shall deliver a complete, turn-key integrated system consisting of four (4) STERIS AMSCO 7052HP mechanical washer/disinfector units, an automated conveyor and handling system, and required accessories and supplies. Each washer unit must feature a cabinet-mounted, multi-level design with minimum chamber dimensions of 26" x 24" x 24", a single vertical-sliding power door with tempered glass observation window, pre-programmed cleaning cycles (pre-wash, wash/cleaning, rinse, thermal rinse/disinfection), and a specialized factory-installed Robotic-Assisted Surgery (RAS) cleaning cycle. The units must operate on 208V, 3-phase, 60 Hz electrical supply utilizing facility-supplied steam, incorporate an integrated microcomputer with audible/visual alert capabilities, and include an integrated thermal printer for cycle documentation. The automated conveyor system must provide single-point-of-management transport with non-motorized feed-out and motorized return door modules, full integration with washer units, and auto-docking transfer cart adapters. Required accessories include 2 RAS 12-Racks, 5 three-level manifold racks, 2 two-level manifold racks, 9 short auto-lock transfer carts, bar code tag holders, instrument tags, and all installation kits with flexible hoses and drain connections.

The contractor is responsible for complete project design, de-installation and disposal of four existing washer units, installation labor (including evening/weekend hours to minimize clinical disruption), comprehensive on-site training for Sterile Processing Department and Biomedical Equipment Maintenance personnel with written materials provided, and a 1-Year Preventive Care Connect service plan covering preventative maintenance, safety tests, calibrations, and unscheduled repairs. The contractor must provide 24/7 technical support via telephone and guarantee on-site response by a qualified technician within 24 hours of equipment failure notification, with full system operability restored within 48 hours of initial on-site response. All equipment shall be shipped F.O.B. Destination to Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433, with all shipping, handling, and insurance costs included. The contractor must comply with all installation entry and delivery procedures for Wright-Patterson AFB, including processing through the Commercial Vehicle Delivery Gate (CVDG).

Statement of Work for

Washer/Decontamination Units

1.Background:

The 88th Medical Group, Sterile Processing Department (SPD) has a mission-critical requirement to replace its failing and obsolete washer/decontamination equipment. The current systems are reaching the end of their service life, leading to increased maintenance and a risk to operational readiness. To ensure the highest standards of infection control and maintain continuous support for surgical services, the facility requires a modern, fully integrated decontamination and transport system. This project involves the procurement and installation of new mechanical washer/decontamination units and an automated conveyor system to streamline the sterile processing workflow, enhance efficiency, and ensure the safe, effective cleaning of reusable medical devices.

2. Scope:

The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to deliver, install, and validate a complete, turn-key washer and conveyor system. The scope includes the de-installation and disposal of existing legacy equipment, installation of the new systems, integration, testing, training, and a first-year preventative maintenance service plan.

3. Minimum Technical Requirements:

The integrated system must meet or exceed the following minimum technical requirements:

3.1 Mechanical Washer/Decontamination Units (Quantity: 4)

• Must be a cabinet-mounted, multi-level, mechanical washer/disinfector (STERIS

AMSCO 7052HP)

• Physical Configuration:

• Chamber must have minimum dimensions of 26" x 24" x 24".

• Must feature a single, vertical-sliding power door with a tempered glass window for observation.

• Performance and Cycles:

• Must feature pre-programmed cycles, including at a minimum: pre-wash, wash/cleaning, rinse, and thermal rinse/disinfection.

• Must include a specialized, factory-installed Robotic-Assisted Surgery (RAS) Cleaning Cycle for processing complex robotic instruments.

• Utilities and Power:

• Must be configured to operate on a 208V, 3-phase, 60 Hz electrical supply.

• Must be designed to utilize facility-supplied steam.

• Control and Documentation:

• Must be controlled by an integrated microcomputer that monitors and controls all unit operations and provides audible/visual alerts for deviations.

• Must include an integrated Thermal Printer to document and record the performance of every cycle for quality assurance.

3.2 Automated Conveyor & Handling System

• The system must provide automated, single-point-of-management transport of washer racks from the decontamination side to the clean processing side.

• Must include a Non-Motorized Feed-Out section and a Motorized Return Door module to facilitate a complete, ergonomic workflow.

• System must be fully integrated and compatible with the washer units to ensure seamless transfer of racks.

• Must include Auto Docking Transfer Cart Adapters to interface with the new washer units and existing transfer carts.
