Statement of Work (SOW)

1. INTRODUCTION:

The Oklahoma Army National Guard (OKARNG) requires the purchase of a Tiger Tug brand name helicopter tug.

2. BACKGROUND:

Usage of the Tiger Tug will significantly enhance the safety of ground handling operations and lower the exposure to heat/cold injuries amongst maintenance crews during inclement months. This system is identical to the one used by AASF#2 for use with the UH-72A Lakota. Consistency between operating systems will increase efficiency amongst maintenance crews, easing impact on training programs, reduce the likelihood of operator error, save money and aid readiness through interchangeability of parts. Given the OPTEMPO of Oklahoma aviation operations, >200 hr flying program, a robust, commercial grade system is required to avoid excessive breakage and downtimes.
