About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details requirements for the demolition and disposal of five Big Top aircraft sunshades at Creech Air Force Base in Nevada. The contractor will be responsible for waste collection, material separation, and off-base disposal of sunshade components, including steel frames, fabric covers, and lighting systems. Specific tasks include coordinating with the demolition contractor, properly segregating waste materials, cutting steel components to four-foot lengths, individually packaging light fixtures, and ensuring compliance with EPA, state, and base environmental regulations.

The project has a 30-day performance period following demolition completion, with a firm-fixed price contract anticipated. The contractor must provide a removal schedule upon award, material tracking logs, and a certificate of disposal upon project completion. Key requirements include maintaining flight line safety, preventing Foreign Object Debris (FOD), and following OSHA and Air Force safety protocols. Payment will be processed through Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) after successful work completion and government acceptance of deliverables. The government will provide access to demolition areas and escort services through controlled movement areas.
