About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details the procurement of 200 secondary containment spill pallets for the HAZMAT Compound 1206 at Naval Base Coronado in San Diego, California. The pallets must be four-drum spill containment units with a 55-gallon drum capacity, minimum 66-gallon sump capacity, constructed of chemical-resistant polyethylene, equipped with removable grates, rated for 6,000 lbs uniform load capacity, forklift compatible, and compliant with EPA 40 CFR 264.175 regulations. Delivery requirements specify a delivery location at Naval Base Coronado and a delivery deadline of 30 calendar days after contract award, with pallets to be stacked and wrapped to prevent damage during transit.
The procurement is driven by the compound's lack of sufficient containment systems and frequent flooding risks, which create potential safety hazards and material degradation. Final acceptance will be contingent upon inspection to confirm specification compliance, verification of the 200-unit count, and confirmation of undamaged and operational condition upon delivery. The period of performance begins upon contract award and concludes with successful delivery and inspection of all items.
