2.0 Background

Flatwoods Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center is one of 24 centers that are known as Civilian Conservation Centers.

These centers are operated by the U.S. Forest Service and encourage students to learn in nature and work to sustain and improve the land they live on. By embracing their natural surroundings, students at these centers are able to train in additional career fields, including wildland firefighting and forestry conservation. The Flatwood JCC located at 2803 Dungannon Rd Coeburn, VA 24230, is currently looking for a vendor to service its lift stations and grease trap. This service is required to help prevent debris from entering the pumps and damaging them. And clogging up lines and causing back flow, which would significantly interrupt the operations of the Flatwood JCC.

Contractor Requirements

• Must be able to auger drain line inside of Dining Hall’s kitchen.

• Must be able to pump inground grease trap next to dining hall to remove all hardened grease.

• Must be able to pump debris and water out of lift station behind the Education building.

• Must be able to pump debris and water out of lift station behind the Welding shop (main lift station)

Water is available next to each area to assist in cleaning the lift stations. Both lift stations should be clean and free from any trash or debris.
