About this file
This is a Statement of Work for Hearing Aid Fitting Devices to be delivered to the Harry S. Truman VA Medical Center in Columbia, Missouri. The VA is seeking a hearing instrument analyzer/tester/fitting device capable of verifying the electro-acoustic performance of hearing aids both when connected to a standard earphone coupler and when worn on the end user's ear. The device must enable audiologists to test actual hearing aid output in the ear canal using NOAH software to ensure aids meet target specifications.
The required equipment must include a control unit with LED backlit active color display, a hearing aid test box with stereo headphones (250 mW monitor amplifier into 16 ohms), dual power amplifiers at 5 watts each, and dual simultaneous stimulus and measurement channels. Operating specifications require storage temperature range of -20 to +60°C, relative humidity of 5% to 95% (non-condensing), atmospheric pressure of 800-1060 hPA, and power source compatibility with 100-240V, 47-63Hz, 1.35A. The device must include multiple connectivity options: Ethernet (RJ45), USB, HDMI, RCA external speakers, and various audio connector types (3.5mm TRS and 6.3mm TRS) for probes, microphones, headphones, and related accessories. The acquisition is based on the Verifit2 manufactured by Audioscan, with products deemed "equal" requiring submission of sufficient documentation demonstrating compliance with the salient physical, functional, and performance characteristics. Delivery terms are FOB Destination with warranty commencing upon delivery.
