2.0 Background
Grider Creek Campground sits just off the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) and is heavily used by both PCT through hikers and the local community. The existing CXT is to be removed as it sits in the path of flood water during storm events with heavy precipitation that allow the creek to deviate from the established waterway. The gravel cap and roadway reconditioning are necessary project components to address geologic concerns at Grider Creek Campground, as well as to maintain the campground’s accessibility and visitor experience.
