Addendum 1
1) Bid Documents specify that the water source is “N/A”, however during our site visit we noticed there was a water hookup at the site. Is it permissible to use this water source for drafting water into our water truck or fire vehicle?
Answer: No
2) The Campsite Coordinator has given us verbal permission to stay at this campsite even if the campsite is closed, but this consent also requires written consent from your department. Can you please provide us with written permission to stay at Grider Creek Campground (even if closed) for the duration of the project?
Answer: No
3. If this campground is closed to the public, will traffic control still be necessary if all work is done inside the closed area?
Answer: For the work inside the closed campground traffic control will not be necessary.
3) Does the Forest Service have a “government-provided” (and previously approved) rock source from a local quarry? There is a quarry at Horse Creek, but it doesn’t appear to be open to the public.
Answer: Rock is available commercially from Casey Conner at a pit just east of Horse Creek alongside the Klamath River.
4) CO-T intends to have multiple pieces of equipment onsite for the duration of the project, is the Forest Service interested in installing a CXT Vault at the Brown Bear River Access?
Answer: Not at this time, the Forest Service only has funding for the work annotated in the solicitation documents.
