About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details the transportation requirements for one F-18 aircraft (BUNO 164903) from Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 11 (MALS 11) at MCAS Miramar in San Diego, California, to Volk Field Air National Guard Base (ANGB) in Camp Douglas, Wisconsin. The contractor will be responsible for transporting the disassembled aircraft, including the fuselage, wings, horizontal tails, and all necessary parts for reassembly. Key responsibilities include coordinating pickup and delivery with military points of contact, obtaining transportation permits, ensuring compliance with Department of Transportation regulations, safety standards, and base security protocols. The scope of work requires the contractor to use a low boy trailer for transport, with MALS 11 providing a crane for loading at the origin and Volk Field ANGB providing a crane and personnel for offloading. The work is to be performed during standard hours of 0730-1600 Monday-Friday, with potential for coordination outside these times. Safety requirements include following DOT, OSHA, and HAZMAT standards. Security provisions mandate background checks, compliance with identification verification requirements, and adherence to Force Protection Condition (FPCON) guidelines.
