The work must be completed during ERRC operating hours of 0730–1600, Monday through Friday, as facilities are closed on weekends and federal holidays. Upon completion, the contractor shall notify the USDA ARS ERRC representative, conduct a final walk-through with the government representative, and complete all punch list items before acceptance and invoicing.

General Information
1.0 Scope of Work
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, safety and disposal services necessary. All work must comply with applicable building codes, OSHA safety standards, and manufacturer installation requirements.
1. Remove an existing 500 square foot outside concrete loading platform
2. Remove/install 15 Rubber Dock Bumpers
3. Install concrete platform with proper pitch for water shed
4. Finish surface for forklift and pallet jack use
1.1 Working hours
ERRC working hours are 0730 – 1600. The facilities are closed on weekends and federal holidays.
2.0 Background
The Eastern Regional Research Center (ERRC) is one of four Regional Research Centers of the Agricultural Research Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture. The ERRC is home to the nation’s leading scientists and engineers who solve problems facing the U.S. today and tomorrow with fundamental, applied, and developmental research on agricultural commodities. Most of this research is conducted in the main building within two laboratory wings. The original building was constructed in 1940. Due to continuous upgrades and renovations, ERRC is very modern with respect to laboratory design and system condition.

3.0 Technical Requirements
Replace Small Truck Loading Dock
3.1 Outside 10 x 35 Concrete Dock
3.1.1 Demolition & Removal
• Establish a safe work zone with barricades and signage.
• Remove existing concrete down to subgrade.
• Remove all steel, debris, and waste materials from the site.
3.1.2 New Concrete Preparation
• Verify condition of sub-grade firm and level, add stone if needed.
• Chip and remove loose or deteriorated concrete.
• Drill and epoxy rebar dowels into adjoining walls.
• Install rebar reinforcement grid.
• Install formwork to match surrounding slab elevation.
3.1.3 Concrete Placement
• Place approximately 50 Cubic Yards of 4,000–5,000 PSI concrete.
• Consolidate concrete to eliminate voids.
• Screed and broom finish surface with proper slope.
• Apply curing compound.
• Remove forms after curing.
3.2 Cleanup & Finalization
• Remove all debris, packaging, and waste materials.
• Sweep and clean the work area.
• Perform final walk-through and correct deficiencies.
4.0 Deliverables
• The Contractor shall notify the USDA ARS ERRC representative when work is complete.
• The Contractor shall do a final walk through with the Government Representee.
• The Contractor shall complete the Punch List before acceptance and invoicing.
