STATEMENT OF WORK

Project: Service Contract and Preventative Maintenance Plan for Laboratory Equipment – Beckman Coulter CytoFLEX S, 4-Laser with Plate Loader

Background The Foreign Arthropod-Borne Animal Diseases Research Unit (FABADRU) currently has a Beckman Coulter CytoFLEX S 4-laser flow cytometer with plate loader located at the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF) that requires the continuation of an annual service contract, which will include preventative maintenance and, if necessary, emergency repair visits from the vendor. NBAF is a USDA facility, and the instrument is located in a laboratory operating at BSL-2. Prior visitor approval, background checks, and security training will be required for all personnel arriving onsite to provide service to the instrument. Additionally, contractors will be escorted at all times while on the NBAF campus.

Objectives

• The service agreement will provide one scheduled preventative maintenance visit each year to ensure that the instrument is operating properly.

• The service agreement also covers emergency maintenance visits during the span of the contract, with priority scheduling, to prevent loss of productivity due to equipment malfunction and ensure maximum uptime.

Scope

• This Statement of Work covers the Beckman Coulter CytoFLEX S 4-laser flow cytometer with plate loader with serial number BE26042, currently located at NBAF in Manhattan, Kansas, for one year with two, one year option periods.

• The Protective Full Risk PT Service Agreement provides the following coverage:

o Proactive service approach to maximize uptime and improve profitability o On-site labor, travel, and parts during Beckman’s normal business hours, covered

100% o Priority on-site service support and technical phone support o Additional key operator training available during Beckman’s regular service visits o Annual scheduled preventative maintenance visit performed to factory specs o Fixed maintenance costs o Service provided only by authorized and factory-certified Beckman Coulter technicians o Includes engineering modifications supported by 33,000 genuine new parts

Tasks or Requirements

• The contractor will be required to:

o Initiate a service agreement including the benefits described above o Complete one preventative maintenance visit per year at NBAF in Manhattan, Kansas, during the contract period o Facilitate priority scheduling for any emergency maintenance service requests o Arrive onsite as scheduled, with travel, parts, and labor covered by the contractor, for any necessary emergency maintenance service visits

The facility is access-controlled, so the contractor will need to schedule each visit with the USDA technical point of contact (who will submit a request for visitor approval) and submit to a background check at least seven (7) days prior to arrival at NBAF. NBAF will fund and conduct the background check. PII required of the technician for the background check:
