About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for replenishing the FOCA Pier Revetment Landing Rip Rap project. The work addresses severe sloughing and erosion seaward of the existing in-place rip rap at the pier's shore-side base. The contractor must prepare the site, re-adjust and stabilize the current rip rap, and add up to 60 cubic yards of Type III Granite Rip Rap centered 30 linear feet along the pier footing while maintaining a 2:1 slope. All work must comply with USACOE permit #SAJ-2000-03468.

The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, materials, and equipment except as noted. Required tasks include: installing temporary safety measures (barriers, temporary fencing) and a soil retention cloth barrier along the waterside of the staging area; providing and placing 60 cubic yards of Type III Granite Rip Rap with advance sample approval; re-adjusting existing rip rap to create a stable base for additional material; cleaning and restoring staging and work areas with debris disposal; removing temporary safety measures and soil retention barriers; and demobilization. The National Park Service will provide the staging area if needed and will remove the wooden boardwalk prior to contract start. The contractor may locate a dumpster in the staging area as needed.
