About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a facilities sustainment project at NSWC Crane to install roof penetration, roof curb, vent pipe, and electrical power for ovens and a fume hood in Building B330C, Room 305. The mechanical requirements include venting three pieces of equipment to the exterior: two small ovens requiring 2.5" diameter vents, and one fume hood requiring a 10" diameter thermoplastic duct. The project specifics mandate security grates for vents 96 square inches or larger, and specify using a thermoplastic duct to prevent corrosion from chemical usage.

The document outlines comprehensive contractor responsibilities, including obtaining all necessary permits, providing labor and materials, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining clean work areas, and coordinating building access. The project requires a preconstruction kick-off meeting 10 working days prior to commencement and a post-award kick-off meeting within 15 working days after contract award. Potential asbestos abatement is addressed, with specific removal and disposal guidelines. The funding is coded as indirect, and while specific award and completion dates are not specified, the document indicates these will be established during the post-award meeting, with site availability to be coordinated with the point of contact.
