About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details the procurement of dental supplies for the Indian Health Service's Mid-Atlantic Tribal Health Center (MATHC) in Charles City, Virginia. The document outlines a contract for a comprehensive dental supply acquisition to support a new direct care clinic serving seven federally recognized tribes in Virginia, including Pamunkey, Chickahominy, Eastern Chickahominy, Monacan, Nansemond, Rappahannock, and Upper Mattaponi. The supplies are scheduled for delivery around August 1, 2025, with the health center expected to begin patient services in September 2025, contingent on construction timelines. The contractor must provide all dental supplies as a single source, ensure proper packaging and shipping, deliver and install items in the specified location, and be prepared to delay delivery if construction is not completed on schedule.

MATHC Dental Supplies
1.0 General
1.1 Background
The mission of the Indian Health Service (IHS) is to raise the physical, mental, social, and spiritual health of American Indians and Alaska Natives to the highest level. Our Vision is for healthy communities and quality health care systems through strong partnerships and culturally responsive practices. This acquisition will enable the service unit to provide dental services via the Mid- Atlantic Tribal Health Center (MATHC) Dental Programs.
The Nashville Area is the most geographically and culturally diverse Area within IHS. This poses unique challenges to our staff and requires the use of creativity, flexibility, and understanding in accomplishing our mission. The Mid-Atlantic Service Unit (MASU) was founded in 2019 after seven tribes in the Commonwealth of Virginia received federal recognition.
The Mid-Atlantic Service Unit serves the Pamunkey, Chickahominy, Eastern Chickahominy, Monacan, Nansemond, Rappahannock, and Upper Mattaponi tribes. The completion of the MATHC facilities is imminent. Therefore, it is necessary to acquire all necessary dental supplies to support our staff and serve the patients effectively. Our ability to perform optimally depends on having these resources in place.
