CHAMBER DOOR OPERATOR REPLACEMENT

STATEMENT OF WORK

1 Introduction

The requiring activity is the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). The requiring office is the Electromagnetic and Sensor Systems Department (B Dept.), Electromagnetic Effects Division (B50), Mission Assurance & System Assessment Branch (B51). The Sensor Characterization and Radar Cross Section (SC&RCS) group currently uses anechoic chambers to support Antenna and RCS testing. One of these chambers is the Multifunction Anechoic Chamber (MAC) which was originally manufactured and installed by Panashield, Inc. Braden Shielding Systems, LLC has acquired Panashield, Inc. The chamber door operator has stopped working and requires replacement. The period of performance is six-months.

3 Requirements

The Contractor shall provide all materials, hardware, and labor to replace the RF Shielded Chamber door operator in Bldg. 1530. Upon completion of the installation of the new door operator, the Contractor shall ensure that the chamber door is functional, and opens and closes correctly.

3.1 The Contractor shall coordinate the visit with the TPOC identified below to schedule the repair.

NOTE: The Government will be responsible for preparing the existing facility and core infrastructure to accommodate the repair.

4.0 GOVERNMENT-FURNISHED PROPERTY/MATERIAL/INFORMATION

(GFP/GFM/GFI)

4.1 The Government will provide access to the chamber in Bldg. 1530 for work completion.

5.0 SECURITY

This work is unclassified. An escort will be assigned to the Braden Shielding Systems, LLC Technicians and will remain while the work is being completed.

6.0 TRAVEL

The Contractor will be required to travel in performance of this contract. The number of trips and types of personnel traveling shall be limited to the minimum required to accomplish work requirements and must be coordinated with the technical point of contact. All travel shall be conducted in accordance with the Federal Travel Regulations (FTR).
