About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a federal contract opportunity issued by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service, Plant Science Research Unit, located in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The USDA requires targeted genotyping by sequencing (GBS) of 2,400 wheat samples using the AgriSeq wheat genotyping panel, which consists of 4,000 specific informative genomic targets. The resulting genetic marker data will support the Plant Science Research Unit's investigation into complex genetic traits of plants. The requirements include DNA library preparation, sequencing with a minimum mean target coverage of 100x, and delivery of AgriSeq wheat panel target variant calls in the form of genotype call hapmaps and corresponding Variant Call Format (VCF) files. The service must be completed and the deliverables returned within 30 days of sample submission.

The United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Plant Science

Research Unit, Raleigh, North Carolina requires targeted genotyping by sequencing (GBS) of

2400 wheat samples with the AgriSeq wheat genotyping panel. The AgriSeq wheat genotyping panel consists of 4000 specific informative genomic targets identified by scientists at the USDA-

ARS Regional Small Grains Genotyping Laboratories. The resulting genetic marker data will be used in conjunction with the Plant Science Research Unit’s investigation into the complex genetic traits of plants.

Requirements:

The service must include:

(i) DNA Library preparation for 2400 wheat samples for AgriSeq targeted GBS.

(ii) Sequencing of prepared AgriSeq DNA libraries with a mean target coverage of no less than 100x.

(iii) Delivery of AgriSeq wheat panel target variant calls in the form of a genotype call hapmaps and corresponding Variant Call Format (VCF) files.

(iv) Library preparation and sequencing completed, and deliverables returned no longer than 30 days after sample submission.
