About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a nitrogen booster assembly required to service the Environmental Control System (EPU) on F-16 aircraft. The nitrogen booster is needed to increase the pressure in the nitrogen bottles on the Compressed Gas Trailer from 700 PSI up to 3200-3500 PSI, allowing 8 aircraft to be serviced before the bottles need to be recharged. This will help reduce aircraft turnaround times. The work is to be performed by the 77th Fighter Generation Squadron at Shaw AFB, SC from October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2024. The required Part Number is 80504 with a National Stock Number of 4240-01-552-2435. This SOW is related to a pre-solicitation by the Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command for the EPU Booster, Solicitation Number FA480324Q0015.

STATEMENT OF WORK

FOR

NITROGEN BOOSTER ASSEMBLYE

Prepared by

77th FIGHTER GENERATION SQUADRON

17 MAY 2024

DRAFT

Section 1. Scope/Description of Work.

The nitrogen booster is used to boost the nitrogen pressure when the nitrogen bottles on the

Compressed Gas Trailer fall below 2900PSI. At the lower pressure they cannot be used to fully service the EPU. Only eight aircraft can be serviced before the nitrogen bottles must be recharged. This short fall can adversely impact the turnaround time in aircraft servicing. With the use of a new nitrogen booster the available nitrogen pressure can be boosted to 3200 to 3500 PSI from as little as 700 PSI in one nitrogen bottle.
