About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the replacement of a marine outboard gasoline engine on a 21-foot law enforcement boat used by the National Park Service (NPS) at the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area (LARO).

The SOW requires the contractor to provide all labor, equipment, and materials to remove the existing Mercury Verado 275 HP engine and associated components, and install a new 300 HP V-8 4-stroke engine that meets specific salient characteristics. The replacement engine must have features such as fuel/ethanol tolerance, electric start and trim, and a 115 Amp alternator. The contractor will also need to replace the engine harness, throttle controls, gauges, and integrate the new engine with the existing Garmin navigation package. A sea trial and final inspection by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) are required before acceptance. The NPS will transport the boat up to 300 miles for the vendor to perform the work.

The SOW is associated with a federal contract opportunity, Solicitation Number 140P8324Q0042, issued by the Department of the Interior National Park Service Pacific West Region, to remove and replace the law enforcement boat engine for the LARO.
