About this file
This statement of work describes requirements for a multimyograph system to support livestock physiology research. The Agricultural Research Service requires a four-channel horizontal wire myograph unit capable of providing high purity nitrogen gas at flow rates up to 35 L/min and pressures up to 115 psig. The system must be compatible with existing Danish Myo Technology 620M multimyographs, ADInstruments PowerLab, and Chart recording software. Additional requirements include built-in compressors to operate independent of an external air supply, casters for mobility, use of standard 120V outlets, and a filtration system removing particles smaller than 0.01um along with oxygen, moisture, and hydrocarbons less than 1ppm. The contractor shall deliver the system to the USDA Agricultural Research Service location in Lexington, Kentucky, with delivery scheduled in coordination with on-site personnel. No travel or facility access is needed for installation.

Statement of Work (SOW)
Project: Multimyograph for vascular physiology experiments, supporting livestock physiology research within the Forage-Animal Production Research Unit (FAPRU).
GENERAL INFORMATION
1.0 Scope of Work: The FAPRU was established with the mission to improve productivity, profitability, competitiveness and sustainability of forage-based enterprises within the zone. This mission is accomplished through the use of multidisciplinary teams which work to identify, evaluate, and manipulate genetic and physiological factors for the enhancement of food animal and equine health and performance and to improve forage plant persistence, quality, and production. This item is required expand existing tissue culture capabilities (will be linked in with 3 existing units) in the lab to increase the unit’s ability to screen compounds for biological activity and produce physiological and toxicological data in support of FAPRU’s mission.
2.0 Background: This item is a multimyograph. A four-channel horizontal wire myograph unit is required to work in tandem with 3 multimyographs already in place and expand existing capabilities to increase throughput with associated research.
CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
3.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks:
• Must provide high purity (up to 99.5%) nitrogen gas and delivery up to 35 L/min flow rates and pressures up to 115 psig.
• Must be compatible with existing instruments: Danish Myo Technology 620M multimyographs, ADInstruments PowerLab, Chart recording softwary.
• Must have built-in compressors and operate independent of external air supply.
• Should have casters for ease of set-up and moving.
• Must use standard 120V outlet.
• Must have filtration system to remove particles (< 0.01um), oxygen, moisture and other contaminants (hydrocarbons < 1ppm).
• Should not require a service technician visit for initial set-up.
