Statement of Work VHASLCHCS Bariatric Hospital Bed

Introduction/Background: The VHASLCHCS Facility requires a purchase of a single specialty hospital bed to replace the previously relied upon solution of contracted, per-instance rental beds. The needs required to be covered by this new bed are that of Specialty Bariatric bed features for caring for patients dealing with weight management, mobility difficulties, severe obesity, bariatric surgery, etc. This bariatric bed purchased will need be housed/used/stored on location, and this is projected to be the best utilization of facility funds and benefit to timeline workflow of delivering safe and dignified bariatric care.

Scope of Work: Vendor must deliver bed to the facility warehouse/dock and communicate with the facility regarding any issues in this process. The vendor will provide the specified quantity of (1) Bariatric Patient bed and associated services within the agreed-upon timeline and budget.

Vendor must supply new Bariatric beds with all fully functional features standard to the item(s) listed in the quote. (e.g., iBed Awareness, expandable widths, integrated scale, 360-degree lights).

Vendor must coordinate delivery logistics with the Customer's receiving facility/department. Vendor must unpack item(s), accessories, training manuals., remove, and if required, dispose of all packing materials in an environmentally responsible manner assemble and conduct functional testing of each unit to ensure full operation in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. Place beds in normal/available area to do so per Supply Chain and Nursing Care Area/Leadership. The facility will provide necessary site access and ensure facility readiness during this process.

Technical Requirements:

· Weight Capacity & Size: Must have capacity of 1,102 lbs (500kg), with adjustable/expandable surface/bed/”deck” widths for patient care/comfort versatility.

· Fall Prevention Technology: Integrated bed alarms aka, patient movement/ bed exit awareness alerts, low height features (of 12" or lower), and 360° lights/lighting/visibility features for safe operations in changing and low light environments.

· Mobility Functionality: Multiple options for patient adjustment settings, cardiac chair position, and patient controls.

· Care Support/Staff/Nursing/Caregiver Features: One-touch siderails, universal brakes, digital head of bed, and lockout features.

Schedule & Milestones: Vendor must provide and communicate delivery and implementation information.
