STATEMENT OF WORK

Pipette Preventative Maintenance and Certification for USDA ARS DKI PBARC, Hilo, HI

Background

The Pacific Basin Agricultural Research Center (PBARC) in Hilo, HI is seeking a service and calibration of pipettes.

Objectives To service and calibrate pipettes for reliable performance at specific low volume measurement of liquids.

Scope The contractor will provide on-site preventative maintenance service of 193 (one hundred ninety-three) single channel, 19 (nineteen) multi-8 channel and 6 (six) multi-12 channel pipettes.

Tasks or Requirements

· Provide onsite preventative maintenance on

· 193 - single channel pipettes

· 19 - multichannel – 8 channels pipettes

· 6 – multichannel – 12 channels pipettes

· Perform a leak test and part replacement or restoration

· Provide a calibration certification with detailed performance data on pipette performance parameters

· Minimize down time for pipette usage

Deliverables or Delivery Schedule

The contractor will provide preventative maintenance and ensure calibration of the equipment pipettes during the contract period including certification of pipette operating parameters.

No government furnished equipment.

Reporting Requirements

No reporting requirements other than calibration parameters are required.

Service will be provided during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, excluding Federal holidays.

Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD)-12 (If applicable)

Contractor will check in as a visitor and be accompanied by USDA staff while in the facility.

Other Considerations:

A minimum of 48-hour advanced notice is requested to schedule service so personnel can be notified that the equipment will be unavailable during service period.
