About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the installation of government-owned equipment at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL) in Building 8411, New Jersey.
The contractor is responsible for installing one Hotsy Steam Cleaner (Model 5762SS 208, 208 VAC, 55A, 60 Hz, 3 Phase) and one Air Compressor, along with all associated electrical, gas, and surge protection infrastructure. For the steam cleaner, the contractor must install approximately 190 feet of feed wire and conduit from the electrical panel, replace the existing breaker with a properly sized unit, install approximately 30 feet of natural gas piping from the ceiling with all necessary fittings and shutoff valves, perform leak testing, and conduct startup and operational testing. For the air compressor, the contractor must position and secure the unit with vibration pads and anchoring, install conduit and electrical connections from the control panel per National Electrical Code (NEC) standards, modify or upgrade panel components as required, install a local disconnect switch if absent, and install surge protective devices (SPD) or equivalent fusible links with proper voltage and amperage ratings. The contractor must also furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, and transportation necessary for completion in accordance with current NEC, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), DoD and Army Safety Regulations, and manufacturer specifications.
Prior to any installation work, the contractor is required to conduct a comprehensive onsite survey including equipment location verification, electrical panel assessment, conduit routing identification, and confirmation of code compliance requirements, with results submitted to the government for approval. Deliverables include an onsite survey report, as-built drawings and wiring diagrams, test and commissioning reports, gas leak test results, electrical verification documentation, surge protection documentation, and warranty documentation. The government will provide access to Building 8411, the equipment, and manufacturer documentation, with the Logistics Management Specialist (Ronnie Walker, 856-562-5464, ronnie.walker1.civ@army.mil) serving as the primary government point of contact.
