About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for replacing chillers and boilers at Building 825 at Shaw Air Force Base. The project requires demolition and disposal of three existing chillers, associated piping and accessories, and installation of government-furnished 20-ton and 80-ton chillers.

The contractor must provide and install new water accessories, pumps, buffer tanks, piping, gauges, and controls to connect the new equipment to existing DDC systems. A new 750 BTU/HR Riello boiler (or government-approved equal) must be installed with associated pumps, expansion tank, and controls. The project timeline includes 21 days for material submittals, 90 days for construction, and 15 days for closeout, totaling 126 calendar days. Critical requirements include maintaining HVAC service to the Base Defense Operations Center (BDOC) during demolition through temporary heating/cooling, measuring and documenting chilled water flow rates before and after installation, and providing manufacturer startup services. All work must comply with Shaw AFB Design Standards and applicable federal/state regulations, with a one-year warranty required from the beneficial occupancy date.
