About this file
This Statement of Work details a radio equipment replacement project for the 502nd Air Base Wing Command Post. The contract requires uninstalling 12 existing Motorola radios (6 at JBSA Lackland and 6 at Fort Sam Houston) and installing 12 new Motorola APEX Consolette radios (Model Number L37TSS9PW1AN) at the same locations. The new radios are already purchased and programmed by 502 CS, and the installation must integrate with an ongoing console system upgrade being executed by MIPS.
Key requirements include specific base access for the installer, installation of radios in basement locations with roof-mounted antennas, and performance of a functions check after installation. The target delivery/installation date is 31 March 2025, and the contract includes a one-year warranty. Specific Motorola radio training is required for proper installation, and all equipment will be supplied by the Command Post. The total project scope involves 12 total radios across two military installations, with the contractor responsible for complete removal and replacement of the existing radio systems.
