About this file

This Statement of Need details a federal contract (FA301625Q0108) for Motorola radio uninstallation and installation services for the 502 ABW Command Post. The project requires a contractor to uninstall 10 existing outdated Motorola radios (4 at JBSA Lackland and 6 at Ft Sam Houston) and install 12 new Motorola APEX Consolette radios (Model Number L37TSS9PW1AN), with 6 radios going to each location. The installation supports an ongoing Command Post console upgrade being executed by vendor MIPS, and requires specific Motorola radio training and certification. The radios are already purchased and programmed by 502 CS, and the contractor must perform a functions check after installation. The target date for delivery and installation is 31 Mar 2025, with a one-year warranty provided. Specific requirements for the Lackland site include radio labeling, verifying TX/RX/PTT connections, and coordinating D-Marc block connections with MIPS.
