Statement of Work JBLE PARASIM Upgrade

1. Scope of Work – The current JBLE PARASIM (Parachute Simulator) is non-operational and is in need of replacement. The SERE Specialists that are in charge of teaching JBLE pilots their AFI driven Emergency Parachute Training have reached out to the company that provided the original PARASIM 10 years ago and have requested and upgrade. Upon inspection, the entire PARASIM does not need replaced, only upgraded. The upgrades that are required to make the unit functional again are a software upgrade, head mounted display upgrade, head tracker upgrade and training and installation of the new equipment.

2. Location of Work – The location of the work is going to be in Building 751 in the SERE

Hanger.

3. Period of Performance – It will take approximately 3 days to upgrade the existing

PARASIM.

4. Deliverables Schedule – The new hardware/software will arrive at JBLE and be delivered to Building 751 when the contract is approved. Contractors will arrive a few days later to upgrade/install the desired equipment.

5. Acceptable Standards – Basic Air Force Standards and Protocols will be followed during installation.

6. Acceptable Criteria – The work will be complete and acceptable when the PARASIM is operational again.

7. Special Requirements – No special requirements are needed.

The 1st Operations Support Squadron is looking to upgrade/repair it’s PARASIM Parachute

Simulator. The upgrade includes the latest system software, basic head mounted display, high resolution head tracker, and steering line control box. The current PARASIM is no longer functional and is in desperate need of an upgrade. When the upgrade is completed, all 1 FW and

ACC Staff pilots will be able to accomplish mandatory hanging harness training and simulated ejection sceneries.

SERE Requires a Parachute Simulator in order to meet ACC/AFI requirements for Hanging

Harness Parachute operations. This system needs to be a stand-alone simulator capable of suspending a human being in order for them to simulate a bailout/parachuting scenario. It should be tested and approved for safe operations.

What we are looking for:

Standalone Parachute Simulator

Parachute Simulator Frame

Parachute Simulator Software

Parachute Simulator Harness

Parachute simulator Helmet

Parachute simulator goggles

Installation and certification of all products.
