STATEMENT OF REQUIREMENTS

Yamaha DM7 Audio Digital Mixing Consoles

ACC Heritage of America Band JB Langley AFB

13 September 2024

Two Yamaha DM7 Audio Digital Mixing Consoles feature 120 mono channels, 48 mix buses, and 12 matrices. They offer physical connections including 32 analog inputs, 16 analog outputs, 2 DANTE ports with a PY expansion slot, 2 USB Device ports, and 1 USB Type-C Host port. The console includes scene memory for up to 500 scenes with Recall Safe, Focus Recall, and Fade Time functionalities.

Each input channel provides features such as Input A/B, gain compensation, digital gain, an attenuator, a high-pass filter, parametric EQ, a low-pass filter, 2 dynamics channels, input delay, panning, 24 DCA Groups, and 12 Mute Groups. There are 4 slots per insert point and a 64-channel Dan Dugan Automixer.

Output channel capabilities encompass parametric EQ with 8 full-band PEQs, a graphic EQ, 1 dynamic output slot, output channel delay, 12 Mute Groups, and 4 slots per insert point. The premium rack includes 64 digital signal processors equipped with various plug-ins, such as RND Portico 5033, RND Portico 5043, Portico 5045, U76, Opt-2A, Comp276, Bus Comp 369, Multi-band Compression 4, DanSe, EQ-1A, Equalizer 601, Dynamic EQ, Dynamic EQ4, REV-X, OpenDeck, Analog Delay, Max100, Vintage Phaser, and Dual Phaser.

The console also includes an Effect Rack with 16 digital signal processors and support for 43 effect types. There is a separate EQ Rack featuring 32 DSPs that support 31-band graphic EQ, Flex15 graphic EQ, and 8-band parametric EQ with RTA overlay.

Additionally, the audio console supports 144 input and 144 output DANTE digital snake channels. It is equipped with two 12.1-inch multi-touch displays, one 7-inch multi-touch display, 24 + 4 faders, and user-defined keys, comprising 12 physical surface keys across 4 banks, and 12 on-screen keys across 4 banks.

Two Yamaha RIO3224-D2 Input/Output Racks are equipped with sampling frequency rates of 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, 88.2 kHz, and 96 kHz, with tolerances of +4.1667%, +0.1%, -0.1%, and -4.0% (±200 ppm). They feature a signal delay of less than 1.7 ms, connecting Rio INPUT to Rio OUTPUT via PM10 using DANTE, with a sampling frequency of 96 kHz and DANTE receive latency set at 0.25 ms.

The racks provide total harmonic distortion of less than 0.05% at 20 Hz-20 kHz with +4 dBu into 600 Ohms at 48 kHz, and the same distortion level at 96 kHz from INPUT to OUTPUT, with input gain set to minimum. They also offer a dynamic range of 112 dB typical and a DA converter dynamic range of 108 dB typical from INPUT to OUTPUT, again with input gain at minimum.

Additional characteristics include a hum and noise level with an equivalent input noise of -128 dBu typical (input gain at maximum) and a residual output noise of -88 dBu with the stereo master off.

The racks feature a range of analog input ports, including 32 analog inputs and 16 outputs, as well as 8 digital outputs. They also include DANTE primary and secondary connectors.

Two ProX XZF-YDM7EX1U Flip-Ready Cases for the Yamaha DM7 are specifically designed to securely transport the Yamaha DM7 Audio Digital Mixing Console. These cases feature double shock mounts with hydraulic lifting springs for enhanced protection and stability by balancing the center of gravity. They also include a spacious "doghouse area" for cable management, along with Vibro-Insulation for internal safeguarding, and four industrial-grade auto-centering casters for easy mobility.

Additional features include storage compartments on the doors, heavy-duty steel ball corners, spring-loaded recessed rubber handles, and a user-friendly locking mechanism with tongue-and-groove edges. The cases are constructed with dual anchor rivets and recessed butterfly twist-locking latches, and they offer a convenient 1U rack space available beneath the console for added storage options.
