About this file

This file is a safety curriculum needs assessment exhibit that outlines required training, certifications, medical examinations, and PPE requirements for leased workers at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). The document details two categories of mandatory training: JPL-provided training (including occupational safety, quality assurance, transportation, environmental affairs, and system safety) and Subcontractor-provided training (covering 32 safety topics like asbestos awareness, fall protection, electrical safety, and hazard communications).

The assessment specifies required medical examinations (audiograms, chemical tests, eye exams, physical evaluations), PPE requirements (including safety glasses, respirators, fall protection harnesses), and additional requirements for vehicle operation. The document is part of contract TS-2663-1101135 for Mission Assurance Support Services, which is a small business set-aside opportunity under NAICS code 541715. JPL maintains authority to modify safety requirements at any time, and subcontractors are responsible for ensuring workers complete all mandatory training as directed by JPL.
