Background:

Station New Orleans has a metal standing seam roof system. The climate in South Louisiana brings daily rainstorms and the station building has leaks throughout the roof system particularly with extreme weather events such as tropical storms and hurricanes as well as the 2025 blizzard and subsequent snow melt. Initial inspections estimate the roof system has 2-5 years of remaining service life before requiring a recap of the whole system. The current roof system requires immediate repairs to address the current leaks while Procurement and Contracting work on the larger contract for recapping the current roof.
