-A Sources Sought Notice (SSN) should be used when there is a defined requirement (e.g., recompetes) and there is a need to determine if there are companies with the capability to do the work and is the most common method utilized within DISA. The Government wants/needs to ask Industry if they are capable, their small business socioeconomic status, and available contract vehicles.
-Note: Past Performance references or pricing information shall never be requested in a SSN. If the Government is looking for solutions from industry to help develop the new requirement (and more than one capable, small business socioeconomic status and contract vehicles) a Request for Information (RFI) should be used.
