Question/ Answer # Content

Q 1 The document says the project should incorporate DOE “High Performance Sustainable Building” requirements. Is this targeting a specific LEED rating or Net-Zero?

A1 The High Performance Sustainable Building (HPSB) requirements are the current DOE mandate for NREL facilities. LEED can still be pursued but it alone does not wholly satisfy HPSB. Net-Zero is not a goal for EMAPS.

Q2 Can you provide the square footage of the EMAPS building?

A2 No, that is why NREL needs the laboratory and programming services, but it is likely to be in the 100,000 to 200,000 GSF range.
