About this file
This addendum to Request for Proposal SRS270001-PIZZA, issued by Caesar Rodney School District (CRSD) in Delaware, addresses clarifications regarding delivery logistics and projected volume requirements for fresh pizza services. The RFP solicits proposals for pizza delivery to twelve schools on a bi-weekly basis, with service staggered by school type: Caesar Rodney High School on Tuesdays, four middle schools on Wednesdays, and seven elementary schools on Thursdays. The District has clarified that scheduled delivery times are non-negotiable and fixed based on operational needs, though vendors may request a variance of five to ten minutes before or after the scheduled delivery time provided such variance does not disrupt school operations. Similarly, the assigned delivery days cannot be modified unless approved in writing by the District. The contract term runs from August 1, 2026, through July 31, 2027, with four optional one-year renewal periods. The original proposal deadline was July 8, 2026, at 1:00 PM local time, with written questions due by June 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM and answers posted by June 22, 2026.
This addendum clarifies volume projections based on the District's intent to potentially award multiple vendors. If a single vendor is awarded the contract, the projected volume is 91,728 pizza slices (11,466 pizzas) over the ten-month period. If two vendors are awarded, each vendor would receive 45,864 slices (5,733 pizzas) over the same period. All other terms and conditions of the original RFP remain unchanged. The evaluation criteria allocate 40 points to pricing, 20 points to National School Lunch Program specification compliance, 20 points to product quality and uniformity, and 20 points to capacity to deliver to multiple sites. Pricing must be fixed and binding for the contract term and quoted FOB Destination, freight prepaid, in U.S. Dollars. Contract awards are expected within 90 days of bid opening.

ADDENDUM #1 QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
QUESTIONS ANSWERS
1. First, are the scheduled delivery times, specifically the 9:30 am deliveries, able to be adjusted for quality control? Our pizzas are made hot and fresh and ideally served within a 10–15-minute window to maintain peak quality. It would be great to know if there’s any flexibility in the delivery schedule.
The delivery times specified in this solicitation are the District's preferred delivery schedule. To allow for reasonable logistical considerations, the District will permit a delivery variance of up to five (5) to ten (10) minutes before or after the scheduled delivery time, provided that such variance does not disrupt school operations.
Consistent adherence to the agreed-upon delivery schedule is expected, and repeated deviations beyond the allowable window may be considered a failure to meet contract requirements.
2. Is there room to adjust the days of service for each school? For example, would it be possible to move the days around a bit to better accommodate the needs of each location? We’re open to discussing options to make sure everything runs smoothly.
The delivery days identified in this solicitation are established to meet the operational needs of the District and are not subject to modification by the vendor. Proposals must be based on the ability to deliver on the specified days and within the designated delivery windows. No changes to the assigned delivery days will be permitted unless initiated and approved in writing by the District.
3. Do you have the projected full volume for the school year in terms of pizza slice count? Having this information will allow us to plan accordingly and ensure we’re prepared to meet demand.us to plan accordingly and ensure we’re prepared to meet demand.
This RFP allows for a multi-vendor award. If only one vendor is awarded, the projected full volume is 91,728 slices (11,466 pizzas over a 10-month period). If two vendors are awarded, the projected full volume for EACH vendor is 45,864 slices (5,733 pizzas over a 10-month period).
All other terms and conditions remain the same.
