About this file

This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details a contract for relocating the CV-22 Special Mission Aviator Ramp Trainer (SMART) from Boeing Fort Walton Beach facility to Albuquerque, NM, and providing subsequent training support for the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). The SMART is a state-of-the-art, fully immersive mixed reality training device designed for mission-specific rear crew training, simulating complex scenarios including fast roping, search and rescue, hoisting, and defensive operations across various terrain types.

The contract requires the contractor to ensure the SMART is available for up to 8 training hours per day, with 24-hour weekly availability. Responsibilities include providing SMART operators to coordinate training, adapt and develop mission scenarios, launch and run missions with AFSOC instructors, and manage technical support. The performance period consists of a 12-month base period with three 12-month option periods. Key deliverables include hosting a Post Award Conference within two weeks of contract award, presenting a project schedule, and conducting a Technical Interchange Meeting after the SMART's relocation and setup. If the service is not renewed 90 days prior to termination, the contractor must prepare a disassembly and removal schedule for the CV-22 SMART device.
