About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details the procurement of a 45-ton shaft roller set for the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS&IMF) in Bremerton, Washington. The roller set is specifically designed for the Inside Machine Shop Shafting cell to repair naval vessel shafts, with requirements including fully operational rollers rated for 90,000-pound weight capacity, urethane wheels, single wheel adjustment, and the ability to handle shaft diameters from 7 to 40 inches.
Key technical specifications include a drive roller with variable speed from 0.84 to 42 IPM, NEMA 12 dust-tight electricals, AC variable frequency drive, and a 20-foot remote pendant. The document mandates specific documentation requirements (three sets of manuals, schematics, and bills of materials), a one-year warranty, and strict security protocols for contractor access. Delivery is set for 16 weeks after contract award, with installation responsibilities shared between the government and contractor. The rollers must meet various electrical and safety standards, including NEMA and NFPA regulations, and all documentation must be in English with U.S. units of measure.
