GENERAL INFORMATION
Title of Project: UPS Replacement
1. Objectives
• Replace the existing UPS system with a new, fully functional unit
• Maintain continuous power to critical loads during the transition
• Improve system reliability, efficiency, and capacity (if applicable)
• Ensure compliance with current electrical and safety standards
2. Scope of Work
This is a supply contract to replace the current Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system located at Portsmouth, VA 23507 with an equivalent or better system. The vendor will remove the old unit, install the new unit, dispose of old batteries, and calibrate and synchronize the system to recognize the new batteries.
2.1 Pre-Installation Activities
• Site assessment and verification of existing UPS configuration
• Load analysis and capacity validation
• Review of electrical infrastructure and compatibility
• Development of installation and cutover plan
• Coordination with stakeholders and scheduling of maintenance window
3.2 Equipment Procurement
• Supply of new UPS system (including batteries and cabinets)
• Delivery and staging of equipment onsite
• Verification of equipment against specifications
3.3 Installation
• Safe shutdown and decommissioning of existing UPS system
• Removal/disposal (no existing electrical or environmental issues)
• Integration with existing power distribution units (PDUs) and infrastructure
