About this file

This document outlines technical specifications for applying an internal lining system to two wastewater sludge storage tanks at a USDA facility. The project requires surface preparation of the glass-lined steel tanks, repair of any defects, and application of a multi-layer polyurea and polyurethane lining to protect the tank structures from corrosion. The lining system shall have a minimum thickness of 500 mils and 10-year warranty. Bidders must be certified by the lining manufacturer to install the specified OBIC lining system or approved equal. The selected contractor will be responsible for lining application, quality control testing, and ensuring the lining is free of defects.
