USDA, Beltsville Agricultural Research Center’s (BARC) Eastside Wastewater Treatment Plan (WWTP) is an Enhanced Nutrient Removal (ENR) activated sludge plant rated at an average daily flow of 0.62 MGD. Waste activated sludge from the activated sludge treatment process is transferred to two 180,000 gallons bolted steel tanks that have a dual role as aerobic digesters and sludge holding tanks.
1.2 Overview and Purpose of Statement of Work:
The Eastside WWTP Sludge Holding Tanks are 40 ft diameter glass-lined steel bolted tank. Walls of the tanks are 19 ft high with 3 ft of free board. The tanks are approximately 30 years old and are experiencing some deterioration in the steel and require lining with non-corrosive structural liner system to increase the tanks structural stability and prohibit further deterioration of the tanks. This statement of work is to furnish and install this liner system.
