About this file

This document is a detailed specification sheet for Tactical Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs) issued by the Illinois State Police SWAT Team, seeking to procure 60 pairs (120 individual side pouches) of specialized maritime tactical flotation devices. The PFDs are required to integrate with current tactical gear, including plate carriers and duty belts, and must offer both manual and automatic inflation options with a minimum combined buoyancy of 70 lbs. The devices must be designed for left and right side wear, compatible with MOLLE/PALS webbing, and suitable for law enforcement tactical operations in saltwater environments.

The specification sheet outlines strict requirements for material composition, including military-grade materials like 500D Cordura nylon, with specific color restrictions (black or tan only) and no reflective markings. The devices must be USCG Type V- Hybrid Inflation compliant, low-profile, and lightweight. Vendors must provide a minimum one-year manufacturer's warranty, pre-assembled units, and accompanying documentation. Delivery is specified for a single location at 4700 Roger Street in Springfield, IL, with units expected to be delivered promptly after contract award. The procurement emphasizes operational functionality, durability, and seamless integration with existing tactical equipment.
