About this file
This document contains the technical specifications for a Digital CHIRP Side Scan Sonar Unit, a contract opportunity issued by the state of Illinois. The towfish sonar unit must be constructed of marine-grade aluminum with a hard anodized coating and utilize "Adaptive" CHIRP technology to provide extended ranges, minimal power consumption, and more accurate results for faster surveys. The required frequencies are 900/1800 kHz, with a range of 75m at 900 kHz and 25m at 1800 kHz, and a horizontal beam width of 0.4 degrees at 600 kHz and above.
The contract opportunity does not provide additional details on the quantities required, response due dates, award information, or the contract term. Pricing terms, set asides, funding sources, and other salient information are also not included in the provided documentation.
