About this file
This is a detailed specifications document for a broadcast seeding project for the Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) Boise District Office in Idaho. The project is divided into Schedule A (5 items totaling 25,395 acres and 104,600 bulk pounds of seed) and Schedule B (6 items totaling 95,094 acres and 281,860 bulk pounds of seed).
The specifications outline 11 different seeding mixes across multiple locations in Idaho counties including Owyhee, Ada, Gem, Payette, and Washington, with elevations ranging from 2,000 to 6,000 feet. All seed will be provided by the government and must be picked up from the BLM Seed Warehouse in Boise with 24-hour advance notice. The contractor must provide crews and equipment for seed handling and application, with no off-road travel or ground disturbance permitted. Seed mixes include various combinations of sagebrush, grasses, and forbs, with specific application rates provided for each location. Access to work sites may be limited due to winter weather conditions, and contractors must arrange their own loading facilities with COR approval required for use of BLM land.
