Bryce Canyon National Park Snow Blower Attachment Specifications Request for Quote 140P1222Q0007

1. Will be mounted on a CAT 950 H wheel loader with compatible female quick attach system.

2. Be capable of handling all types of snow, including wet, heavy snow to hard packed frozen snow. Must be capable of arduous duty for prolonged periods of time, without deformation and/or failure of components, in ambient temperature down to minus forty degrees (- 40◦C) (-40◦F).

3. Have at minimum 279 kW (375 hp) dual certified Tier 4 Stage 5 Diesel engine.

4. Be a two-stage type snow blower with impeller housing and telescopic chutes for truck loading.

5. Capable of casting up to 3750 tons per hour of snow at least 100 feet from either telescopic chute or side chute.

6. Overall working width/front of unit shall be no less than 116 inches, with a working height of at least 54 inches, and overall weight of 10,000-16,000 lbs.

7. The frame shall be fully welded, with appropriately mounted skid shoes, reversible scraper blade mounts, and steering vanes to provide 116 inches of cutting width.

8. Telescoping loading chute must rotate utilizing a hydraulic cylinder based on operator inputs with a 300-degree range of motion.

9. Impeller must be capable of hydraulic rotation to allow casting of snow to either side of equipment.

10. Fuel tank must be capable of holding 100 gallons of diesel with mechanical gauge.

11. Electrical system shall be appropriately waterproofed, with cables labeled at regular intervals, relays and circuit breakers appropriately identified, and all circuits protected with breakers.

12. Factory installed battery disconnect switch required.

13. Waterproof quick disconnect cable at least 15ft in length required to connect from unit to loader cab control panel.

14. 6 gallon per minute hydraulic pump mounted to engine auxiliary drive required.

15. 2.4 gallon hydraulic oil tank with level gauge and discharge with drain valve required.

16. Engine cowling and associated components to be made of aluminum and/or steel and designed for safe access to engine and related components.

17. Clutch shall be a twin disc hydraulically actuated model with built in visual and audible warning alarms in case of improper positioning.

18. Heavy duty control and display system with joystick and LCD screen capable of displaying, at minimum, RPM, oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level, engine hour meter, alarm notifications, and light status in English.

19. Blower mounted lights and diagnostic connector cable are required.

20. Equipment must be delivered to park or made available for pickup by park staff within 100 miles of park facilities.
