Prepare right-of-way maps, topographic maps, and utility maps, conforming to Harris County standards and
TSPS Category 1B requirements.
Survey and document existing utilities, drainage structures, and physical features such as buildings, curbs, driveways, and trees, including establishing elevations and locations.
Provide horizontal and vertical control based on the Texas State Plane Coordinate System (South Central Zone, NAD83) and NAVD 1988, respectively.

Project Name Garth Road Section 1 & 2 Project Limit Garth Road from FM 1942 to 100' South of Sterling
Summer Drive (Section 1) and from 100’ South of Sterling Summer Drive to Ashbel Cove Drive (Section 2). See Exhibit 1 below for reference
Project Estimated Budget $19,350,000 General Project Scope The overall project involves the design of a standard four (4) lane concrete boulevard with curb and gutter, raised medians (32’ where practical), and underground storm sewer with detention system within 100-ft right of way, Include 5-ft sidewalks on the west side of Garth Rd. from the southern limits of the project to FM 1942.
Garth Road is currently a two (2) lane asphalt roadway that has a nonstandard skewed connection with 1942. One of the project’s objectives is to improve the skewed connection to a perpendicular connection. There is one bridge within the project limits.
The project shall include an improved crossing over the SJRA canal. The existing crossing is located in the middle of the ROW. The consultant shall make a determination whether it is recommended to widen the existing crossing or install a new bridge(s) to span over the canal. The canal span is approximately 120’.
The surveying work will directly support the overall project design, ensuring accurate alignment, utility coordination, and preparation for construction, aligning with the goals of improving Garth Road's functionality and safety.
